Micro Grant Coming Soon
The Old Collage Try micro grant is expected to open in 2025, entirely dependent on the early success of the magazine and donations from gracious supporters of the arts.
The micro grant amount is expected to be a minimum of $100 and a maximum of $500 per accepted individual. The Old Collage Try will likely be a rolling grant that we keep open year-round so that we will always have a selection of applicants to choose from. If finances allow, we would love to award at least one grant per month. In the beginning, the amount of grants available may be less as we grow the magazine and the donation pool.
Each applicant will need to provide some basic information about themselves, such as:
Basic contact information.
A portfolio link; this can be a website or instagram/facebook page.
Three examples of work that the artist is proud of and why.
A "story of self" - Where did you come from? Where do you hope to get to? How would this grant impact your work? How has collage impacted your life? What is collage to you?
A brief acknowledgement of any prior gallery shows you have been a part of, magazines or newspaper editions you were featured in, or any other relevant artistic experience. We are not looking for extensive experience and this will not effect your chances at the micro grant. This can just be typed directly into a text box - no need for a full resume.
Anything interesting about yourself that feels relevant.
Grant winners will be perpetually listed on this page with links to their artwork for all of our visitors to see. In addition, winners will be sent their monetary gift and a certificate of award.
